ETC based solar cooker is an innovative use of solar heat energy for cooking purpose. It works on principle of concentrating heat energy using specially designed ETC tubes.Heat concentrated will be transferred to manifold , which has a cooker connected to it. Water stored in manifold will reach required temperature and steam will be developed in cooker. As result of effective design, rice ,vegetable were cooked in 30-40 minutes and idlies in 20-30mins of time. Heat storage after sunset and adding other heats sources to make it hybrid is conceptualized and prototype is in process.
